What to Wear

Your senior session is all about capturing your personality and style! Here are some tips to help you choose outfits that make you feel comfortable and confident:

1. Choose 2-3 Outfits(optional)

  • Casual Look: Think jeans, a cute top, or a flowy dress.
  • Dressy Look: A dress, skirt, or jumpsuit for a more polished feel.
  • Personal Touch: If you play a sport or have a hobby, consider incorporating a uniform, jersey, or outfit that reflects that.

2. Stick to Neutral or Solid Colors

  • Soft, neutral, or jewel tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on you.
  • Avoid neon colors, bright reds, and large, distracting patterns.

3. Layers & Textures Add Interest

  • Denim jackets, sweaters, or a stylish hat can add depth and variety.
  • Avoid overly trendy items that may not age well in photos.

4. Pay Attention to Fit

  • Choose outfits that fit well and flatter your body type.
  • Avoid anything too tight or too loose.

5. Coordinate Without Being Too Matchy

  • If you want to incorporate school colors, do so subtly (accessories, shoes, or one statement piece).
  • Mix up textures and materials for a more polished look.

How to Prepare

A little prep before your session can make a huge difference in how your photos turn out!

1. Hair & Makeup Tips

  • Natural is Best: Enhance your features without looking overdone.
  • Bring a Brush & Powder: A quick touch-up can keep you looking fresh.
  • Lips & Nails Matter: Neutral lipstick and clean or polished nails make for a finished look.

2. Skin & Grooming

  • Avoid spray tans right before your session (they can appear unnatural in photos).
  • If you’re planning on getting a haircut, do it at least a week before your session.
  • Shave or groom areas you feel comfortable with (legs, brows, etc.).

3. Bring the Right Shoes & Accessories

  • Wear shoes that match your outfit and are comfortable to walk in.
  • Simple jewelry and accessories work best—avoid anything too bulky or distracting.

4. Get Plenty of Rest & Stay Hydrated

  • A good night’s sleep helps you look fresh and energized!
  • Drink water leading up to your session for glowing skin.

5. Think About Posing & Expression

  • Practice in the mirror to find angles you love.
  • I’ll guide you, but relaxed, natural expressions look best!

6. Personalize It

  • Bring props like a sports ball, musical instrument, or something meaningful to you.
  • Want to include your pet? Let me know in advance!

Most Importantly… HAVE FUN! Your senior session is about celebrating YOU, your personality, and this exciting time in your life. I’ll help guide you through the process so you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way.
